Temperature Stabilizers
Per trasportare correttamente i prodotti termosensibili, M&G raccomanda l’uso di stabilizzatori di temperatura: piastre realizzate in HDPE e riempite con materiale a cambiamento di fase (PCM). I PCM sono sostanze che immagazzinano e rilasciano energia durante il loro cambiamento di fase. Quando si sciolgono, assorbono lentamente una grande quantità di calore dall’ambiente circostante.
Temperature stabilizers must be maintained at specific temperatures for at least 12 hours before use, namely until the material inside the plates becomes completely solid and then they can be placed inside the isothermal containers or isothermal bags in direct contact with the material to be transported.
Temperature stabilizers are suitable for transporting all types of blood components, as they are available for +4°, +22°C or -30°C.
This passive cooling system is a great replacement for portable electric coolers which require AC and power cables and traditional cooling plates which cannot be in contact with the transported material.
It is necessary to use a higher number of temperature stabilizers when the difference between the temperature outside and inside the bags increases or if the amount of material inside the bags decreases.
